UPDATE: SPI practice examinations now available! (see link below)
All ARDMS online practice examinations are offered through the ARDMS website for $25 each and are 30 questions in length. Upon payment, you will begin the selected practice examination and will not be able to pause or stop the practice examination until completion.
Practice examinations simulate the computer interface in the testing center environment and allow you to become familiar with the functions and pacing that will be used when actually sitting for the examination.
The online practice test simulates the computer interface used in the actual testing center environment and allows you to become familiar with the following functions that will be used to help you navigate through the actual testing center examination:
• Selecting answers with the mouse
• Selecting answers with the keyboard
• Scrolling
• Keeping track of time remaining and current question number
• Marking questions for review
• Using the review feature
The practice examination duration is thirty (30) minutes. The non-SPI practice examinations are constructed with a randomly selected set of questions, giving you the opportunity to see different questions if the practice examination is taken more than once. Each SPI practice examination has 30 unique questions.
Please note that the practice examinations may not include all content areas that will be covered in the actual testing center examination. This link will take you to the complete content outlines for all examinations, to assist in further preparation and study for the actual testing-center examinations.
You will receive a test-result report when you complete the online practice examination. The report will list the number of questions answered correctly out of the total number of questions presented; however, you will not be able to view which questions you answered incorrectly. While suggestive, the practice examination results should not be used to predict how well you will perform on the actual ARDMS examination.
The practice examination opens in a separate "pop-up" window. If there is any software or program on your computer that blocks "pop-up" windows, you will need to disable it. Some Search Toolbars (i.e. Google or Yahoo) and Internet Security programs have features that also block pop-ups.
