2010 Renewal Period
PAYING ONLINE IS FAST, EASY, AND SECURE.
ARDMS is now accepting renewal fee payments for 2010. Please log on to the secured Registrant Resources section to pay your fee today.
Payments must be received on or before December 31, 2009. An official 2010 renewal invoice will be mailed in mid-October. Registrants can pay their 2010 renewal fee online and obtain a receipt by logging on to the Registrant Resources section of the website.
Registrant renewal fees, application fees, dues, contributions or gifts to ARDMS are not deductible as a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes. These payments may be deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses under Section 162 of the Internal Revenue Code. ARDMS has been organized under Section 501(c)(6) of the IRC. The ARDMS tax identification number is 51-0184277. You may wish to consult your tax advisor for further assistance.
The two requirements for maintaining ARDMS credentials are listed below:
1. You must earn a minimum of 30 ARDMS-accepted CMEs in your three-year CME period.
To check your three-year CME period, log on to the secured Registrant Resources section.
2. You must pay your renewal fee each year.
There is an annual renewal fee of $60 USD for each calendar year. RPVI Registrants must pay the annual renewal fee of $90 USD.
Registrants who pay their annual renewal fee will receive an updated identification (ID) card and their names will appear online in the ARDMS Directory of Registrants.
By paying the renewal fee, a Registrant attests that he/she: (a) is in compliance with all ARDMS rules and policies; (b) has accrued – or will have accrued, by the end of the appropriate three-year CME period – the required CME credit hours; and (c) will continue to comply on an ongoing basis with all ARDMS rules and policies, which may be amended from time to time without prior notice.
Do you need your 2010 ID card by January 1, 2010?
It may take up to six to eight weeks to receive your 2010 ARDMS ID card after you make your renewal fee payment. To receive your ARDMS ID card by January 1, 2010, your payment must be received on or before November 6, 2009. ARDMS is not responsible for any delay while payment is in transit (loss, theft, or damage).
Don’t miss the December 31, 2009 deadline to pay your 2010 annual renewal fee!
If you fail to pay your annual renewal fee by December 31, 2009, your credential(s) will be revoked. In order to have your credential(s) reinstated, you will need to pay the annual renewal fee of $60 USD ($90 USD for RPVI) and an additional reinstatement fee of $150 USD by February 28, 2010. If you fail to do so, your credential(s) will remain revoked and you will be subject to ARDMS revocation policies and procedures as may be amended from time to time without prior notice. Non-compliance with the ARDMS revocation policies and procedures will result in the need to retake all necessary ARDMS examinations and pay all applicable fees to regain Active status.
Does your three-year CME period end this year?
If your three-year CME period ends on December 31, 2009, when you pay your 2010 renewal fee, you will be attesting that you have earned your minimum of 30 ARDMS-accepted CMEs in the 2007, 2008, 2009 three-year CME period.
To assure that a CME is ARDMS-accepted, simply visit www.ARDMS.org, click the Registrant Resources section, then select “CME Credits” to view the list of organizations that meet the requirements of the ARDMS Accepted Continuing Education Evaluation Model System.
Does your three-year CME period end in 2010 or 2011?
If your three-year period does not end this year, then you can go ahead and pay your 2010 renewal fee using the renewal notice you received in the mail or you can pay online by logging in to secured Registrant Resources section of the website.
Although your three-year CME period does not end in 2009, you should still be earning CMEs in order to have your minimum of 30 ARDMS-accepted CMEs by the time your deadline arrives. Don’t wait until the last minute to earn your CMEs.
Do you have more questions about the CME audit process? Please visit www.ARDMS.org, click on Registrant Resources, then select CME Audit to find the answers to your questions. Or send an e-mail to cmeaudit@ardms.org.
Has your name changed?
Please fax name-change requests to (301) 738-0312 and provide legal documentation (driver’s license, court document, etc.) indicating your new name. Please include your ARDMS number on all documentation. You may not make this change online. Do not send in name or address changes with your payment as they will not be processed.
Has your address changed?
Please log in to the secured Registrant Resources section of www.ARDMS.org to update your address. Please ensure that you keep both your mailing address and e-mail address up to date in your record. ARDMS uses your e-mail and mailing address to send you information about new ARDMS policies and procedures, renewal reminders, important updates and essential information that may affect your credential(s).
