ARDMS is investigating continuing competency (recertification) models with the help of the entire sonography community. The ARDMS wishes to convey that such a program(s) will take significant planning and time. The time for implementation of any evidence-based recertification program will be measured in years.

The ARDMS will continue to provide information on the recertification subject at appropriate times throughout the investigative process and the sonography community will receive advanced notification and detailed information prior to implementing the recertification program. Please be patient as we craft the appropriate approach, and work to develop a program that will enhance our current Registrants' knowledge and documentation of continuing competency.
