ARDMS offers three versions of the Sonography Principles and Instrumentation (SPI) Practice Examination online, SPIa, SPIb and SPIc. Each examination is 30 minutes in duration and consists of 30 questions. The cost per examination is $25.

The questions in each SPI practice examination (a,b & c) are completely different. If you plan to take the SPIa practice examination more than once, the questions will be the same each time. The same is true for the SPIb and SPIc practice examinations. The three distinct versions provide examinees with exposure to as many questions as possible and are equivalent in difficulty and content coverage.

Test Result Report – Upon completion of the SPI practice examinations, you will receive a report, showing the number of questions answered correctly out of the total number of questions presented.

Advanced Item Type (AIT) – The SPI practice examination includes the new Advanced Item Type questions which assess a candidate in formats that closely relate to actual practice and, therefore, better measure practical sonography skills. The AIT's allow the examinee to move closer to a hands-on testing environment. (Click the image below to enlarge)
