Responsibilities & Requirements: The vascular technologist will be capable of applying techniques and patient positioning to produce high quality ultrasound images. Individuals in this position must be able to exercise initiative, critical thinking and independent judgment. Qualified candidate must have good communication skills and be reliable. New graduates are welcomed and will be trained extensively on the job No evening or weekend call or emergencies . May be required to participate in procedures being performed on two Saturdays a month Candidates should be competent in the vascular diagnostic imaging modalities including but not limited to peripheral venous and arterial testing, visceral, renal artery, and peripheral venous mapping Candidates should have good communication skills including extensive knowledge of vascular anatomy and terminology, including vascular hemodynamics Candidates must be competent in structured reporting Preferred but not required Qualifications: The Vascular Technologist performs high quality vascular ultrasounds following IAC accreditation guidelines. Individuals in this position will work closely with physicians as part of a team. Must be able to exercise critical thinking, initiative and independent judgment. Technologist must be knowledgeable of techniques and patient positioning to produce high quality ultrasound images. Work with all segments of patient populations, including adults, and geriatric patients. Position requires lifting and assisting patients. RVT certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers with a minimum six months full-time clinical experience in Vascular Lab setting is preferred but not required . If you are applying for the part time position then highly competitive compensation will be negotiated based on experience , hours worked and/or cases performed . Individual will work 3 days of the week as reflected in the range of hours worked in a week .
