Frequently Asked Questions

The ARDMS SKILLS App is a new way to be a part of the ARDMS community. Take a look at some of our most frequently asked questions below, or reach out to SKILLSApp@inteleos.org to learn more from the team!

Q. Can I do the quizzes with coworkers?
A. Absolutely! For the 2021 version of the SKILLS App, we want you to share and discuss the quizzes and questions with your peers; challenge each other! If you have questions about the content or want to suggest questions of your own to be included in future versions of the app, please email SKILLSApp@inteleos.org.

Q. You mentioned a “2021 version” of the app; what do future versions of the SKILLS App look like?
A. Future versions of the app will include additional specialty quizzes/content, a user login option, capabilities to store and track quiz history (completed, in progress, scores, etc.), and a connection to the user’s MY ARDMS account (for Active ARDMS Registrants). We hope you’ll download and try out the app today and help shape future versions of the app by providing feedback at SKILLSApp@inteleos.org.

Q. When will the quizzes in the SKILLS App become a required part of my maintenance of certification (MOC) to keep my ARDMS credential(s) active?
A. 2023. Completing the quizzes in the SKILLS App that are specific to the specialty/specialties you hold will be required beginning in 2023. We will provide updates throughout the rest of 2021 and 2022 to make sure our Registrant community is kept well informed of requirements and expectations regarding the SKILLS App.

Q. If the quizzes aren’t required for maintenance of certification (MOC) until 2023, why are you launching the SKILLS App now?
A. The SKILLS App is being launched now so Registrants have the opportunity to learn about the app, see how it works, familiarize themselves with the look and feel, and, most importantly, provide feedback and/or volunteer to write questions for the app. Feedback from the community will be tracked so that it can help shape future versions of the app, quiz content, and expectations as they relate to MOC. We want our Registrant community to be involved with helping to shape the SKILLS App as much as they will be with using it to maintain their credentials beginning in 2023.

Q. What is going to happen with the SKILLS App in 2022?
A. The 2022 version of the SKILLS App will include a user log in option, content in all ARDMS specialty areas, capabilities to store and track quiz history (completed, in progress, scores, etc.), and a connection to the user’s MY ARDMS account (for Active ARDMS Registrants).
In 2022, we will also provide additional details about how the SKILLS App quizzes will fit in to the recertification piece of maintenance of certification (MOC) beginning in 2023 – quiz number requirements, timeframes to complete, expectations as they relate to renewing credential(s) for 2024, etc. Please remember that community feedback will help shape future versions of the SKILLS App – contribute today by completing the Feedback survey in the app or by emailing SKILLSApp@inteleos.org.

Q. Not all ARDMS specialties have a quiz in the SKILLS App. When will a quiz be available in my specialty?
A. ARDMS plans to release a new version of the app in 2022. This version will include content for all ARDMS RDCS and RDMS specialty areas.

Q. Do I need to complete the SKILLS App quizzes so I can renew my credential(s) for 2022?
A. To renew your credential(s) for 2022, you will just need to complete the usual renewal process in MY ARDMS which includes:
• responding to the ARDMS compliance policies attestation,
• attesting that you will have met your CME requirements by the end of your three-year CME period, and
• your payment of the annual renewal fee.

The SKILLS App quizzes are not required to renew your ARDMS credential(s) for 2022.
