Recertification is a measurable way to assure that ARDMS Registrants continue to demonstrate the knowledge and core clinical skills in present day practice. Maintenance of Certification is a career-long commitment, comprising the annual renewal fee, attestation, CME Audit and Recertification. ARDMS Registrants demonstrate the highest level of expertise in sonography by meeting and maintaining the globally recognized standards set by ARDMS.
During the first seven years of your original certification, you don’t need to take any action. During the last three years you will need to complete the recertification assessment. To check your 10-year period, log on to MY ARDMS and click on the “Maintaining Certification” tab.
For recertification information and updates, bookmark and return to this page periodically and watch for articles in Registry Reports, Ultrasound SmartBrief and Notes for Educators. In particular, be on the look out for information on a recertification program ARDMS is developing to assure that ARDMS Registrants continue to demonstrate the knowledge and core clinical skills in present day practice.
