Cardiac Sonographers at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora provide essential services in both acute and community settings. To be eligible, you'll need a recognised qualification in cardiac ultrasound and registration (or eligibility for registration) with the New Zealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board. You'll have demonstrated competency in echocardiography and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Doppler ultrasound of hepatic waveforms may signal cirrhosis severity

Hepatic vein waveform changes observed via Doppler ultrasound were significantly associated with the severity of cirrhosis, as assessed by the Child-Pugh score. The study, involving 140 patients, found that triphasic waveforms were more common in less severe cases, while biphasic and monophasic waveforms were prevalent in more severe cases, suggesting the method's potential as a noninvasive, sensitive screening tool.
