Location: Little Rock, Arkansas Schedule: Monday-Friday day shift Sign-On Bonus: $10,000 for full-time openings, payable on first paycheck Loan Repayment Program : Eligible imaging professionals joining Arkansas Children’s may receive up to $36,000 in student loan repayment, paid monthly over 36 months while you build a secure, meaningful career. Job Description: Performs quality exams and creates preliminary reports. Assists with interpreting imaging for each study. 1. Reviews physician order, and verifies patient/procedure and performs echocardiograms. 2. Prepares and processes echo studies for interpretation. 3. Assists in training of Cardiology Fellows performing Pediatric Echocardiography (AC only). 4. Monitors equipment during procedures for equipment malfunctions and notifies of major malfunctions. 5. Inventories supplies and submits list to proper personnel, to keep adequate supply stock for department. 6. Performs other duties as assigned. Case Load: Typically 6-9 patients per tech per day, depending on the volume. Support: This role is supervised by a Technical Director (Supervisor Cardiac Sonographer), Manager, and Medical Director. Supervision is collaborative and supportive, providing direction when needed while allowing professional autonomy. Training/Development: The Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer role is supported by a structured training and mentorship environment that emphasizes education, skill development, and progressive independence. New team members receive guidance from experienced sonographers and physicians through hands-on learning, case review, and ongoing feedback. The goal is to build both technical expertise and clinical judgment, preparing sonographers to perform high-quality pediatric echocardiographic studies independently and with confidence while knowing support is available when needed.
