Sonographer | Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center


Jasper, Indiana, Diagnostic Medical Sonographer- Radiology  (20-229) Performs diagnostic medical ultrasound exams including but not limited to general, small parts, and OB/GYN on outpatients, inpatients, and Emergency room patients. Cardiac/Vascular Ultrasonographer  (20-591) Perform diagnostic tests and procedures in the Cardiac/Vascular Lab and CardioVascular Services excluding rehabilitation exercise programs. Able to provide full realm of the vascular and cardiac sonography procedures. All inclusive:  Provides accurate and detailed post imaging sonographer impression. Obtains relevant patient medical history and documents accordingly Preps patient for exam including but not limited to changing patient attire, explaining exam, and providing proper oral or other prep. Assists with ultrasound guided invasive procedures and completes appropriate documentation. Utilizes proper imaging safety principals and techniques and ensures consistent and accurate results. Education: Completion of an accredited ultrasound training course or comparable clinical experience. Diploma from accredited school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography preferred. Licensure: Registered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or equivalent certifying organization. Additional registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) preferred. For Cardiac/Vascular - Prefer current registration through ARDMS as an RVT (registered vascular technician) or as a RDCS (registered diagnostic cardiac sonographer).  Current license by the Indiana State Department of Health.
