ANSI Accreditation Announcement:
The RMSKS credentialing programs is now accredited by ANSI under the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 17024 Standard. The accreditation of the MSKS examination was approved by ANSI on February 12, 2019. Read the press release.
The RMSKS credential raises the standard of musculoskeletal ultrasound practice worldwide and promotes best practices for enhanced patient safety. The RMSKS credential is designed for sonographers in the musculoskeletal sonography field. By earning the RMSKS credential, healthcare professionals gain a critical edge in promoting public safety in musculoskeletal sonography.

Apply for the MSKS Examination
To view the full application and administration schedule, visit the MSKS examination page and click on the “schedule” tab.
The MSKS examination is
a windowed examination that is administered during select times of the
year at Pearson VUE test centers. Scores for each windowed examination
period are available approximately 60 days after the testing period
RMSKS Credential Prerequisites
To earn the RMSKS credential, you must meet the examination requirements and pass two comprehensive examinations within five years:
• Sonography Principles & Instrumentation (SPI)
• Musculoskeletal Sonographer (MSKS)
