To make an impact as an MRI technologist at UF Health Shands, you’ll perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures for diagnosis and treatment, demonstrating independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative. Combining your technical expertise with patient care skills, you'll deliver accurate and compassionate care to patients undergoing CT scans. To achieve excellence in this full-time role, we’re looking for: Experienced MRI technologists are strongly preferred. Successful completion of an accredited MRI program with advanced MRI certification or registry-eligible for MRI certification is preferred. At least one year of experience within the radiology or MRI department preferred with knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy a plus. Candidates not MRI-registered may be required to complete the Medical Imaging Consultants (MIC) "MRI Cross-Trainer," depending on your experience. ARRT (MR) or ARMRIT-registered technologists are preferred. Must pass the ARRT or ARMRIT advanced examination for MRI certification within one year of employment. Current BLS certification. New screening test with ultrasound enhances preeclampsia detection

A study in Hypertension found that using the Fetal Medicine Foundation algorithm that combines a blood test, ultrasound data and maternal characteristics can better predict early forms of preeclampsia compared with other predictive models among nulliparous women in their first trimester. This method could potentially allow more women at risk for preeclampsia to start taking aspirin therapy before the 16th week of their pregnancy. Healio (free registration) (5/6)
